As someone who lives in Florida, I should know that we are squarly in McCain's corner. I talk to a lot of people down here and they like really Palin. Some even think McCain won the election just by picking Palin.

In 2004 many of these bs polls had Florida either too close to call or Bush was up by a point or two, and that was days before the election. Bush won by 5 points.

This time around McCain's strongest group appears to be in the 60 and over crowd. I don't see this state in play. As I keep saying, Obama will not win one southern state.

Based on some of the new state polls, I would be allocating more resources to states like MI, PA, NM, NV, and a bit less to some of the solid southern and western states.

Is a hard state to be 100% unconfident of. It's a state that's a bellweather for national elections.

It hasnt trended in my projections (here anything but for weeks.

Florida worries me. My projections had it swinging hard towards McCain post convention (in line with NC/MT/OK/OH/ETC), yet its only +2.5 McCain.

Rasmussen said his poll released Monday may have been affected by the hurricane, and that a redo will either confirm the tie or show the actual state of the Sunshine State.
