Marco Rubio spoke with WDBO this week and he was pretty clear about what his intentions are after today’s votes are counted. He was also unsparing in his assessment of Donald Trump.

“Tomorrow our plan is to be in Utah campaigning irrespective of tonight. It would be a lot better to go to Utah being the winner of the Florida primary. It would give us a tremendous amount of momentum. It would give us 99 delegates, and that’s the way we want to do it tonight.”

That’s pretty definitive. Not dropping out, regardless of the result.

Florida has been seen by many, including some of his donors and staff according to CNN, CBS, and Fox News, as the “make or break” moment for Rubio’s campaign. It is difficult to see a path to victory for the Senator, who lags far behind in delegates, if he does not win his home state. That is not, however, what he is expecting to happen.

I can only hope that he is correct, and that he wins.

“My intention remains to support the Republican nominee, but I want to be frank — everyday that goes by it gets harder and harder to imagine supporting Donald Trump if he’s our nominee, simply because I think that many of things he’s doing and has done are damaging to the conservative movement.
