The dems are more dangerous now than they’ve ever been.

They had complete and utter victory in their hands, and it’s slipping away.

Be vigilant.

Standing out all day

1stRichard (Diary) Tuesday, January 19th at 8:31PM EST (link)

My feet hurt soo much, stumped and argued so much I can hardly talk, fingers so cold I can hardly type, soaked to the bone and I think it was well worth every bit. I park in front of someone with a small opposition bumper sticker and I hung a large yard sign off the back of my pickup truck. Inside it was unusually crowded when I voted. Turn out in the morning was enthusiastically for Brown, mostly elderly. Toward noon, it was handshakes and more thank you punctuated by the occasional blast of a car horn. An elderly gentleman takes about five minutes to cross the road, backs up traffic twice. This is an incredible turnout for such a sleepy town. Just after noontime it slows down, I sneak home for a quick bite and some dry clothing, and run back out. A wave from the police and a thumbs up, they really are on our side. Seeing more cashmere and fancy overcoats, liberal elitists are arriving, but not many. They ovoid eye contact and try to ignore my waves and smile. School busses go past, gets a bit more hectic with parents with children in tow, more thumbs up from them. In addition, more thumbs up mostly from those in work uniforms and commercial trucks. After nine hours, it is time to go home. I did count 49 failed attempts at parallel parking and noticed the majority was for Brown in this exceptionally liberal town.

How it may trend as time goes on, I’ll let you decide

Arlen, who's sorry now?

Memo to Arlen Specter:

You could have been the 41st vote. But you decided early on to double cross conservatives because you thought that you knew which way the wind was blowing. Oops! Now what are you going to do?

Pardon me sir did you see what happened?

Yeah I did. I was just over there trying to buy a Sox season ticket, and there he was, standing out in the cold, shaking people’s hands, and running against Obamacare. I hollered up “Don’t look Martha! But it was too late. The Brown stuff was all over her.”

Apologies to Ray Stevens.
