When there’s no one to call out to resign, he has nothing.

As a matter of fact, he went after the Blue Dogs in a special comment (most of his videos are up on youtube, god help me I would never actually make a point to see it on TV.) Maybe he’s looking to break apart the Dem’s loose coalition with the whole “True Scotsman” kind of rhetoric, so he can get his ratings back up?

I sometimes switch to KO when O’Reilly is in commercial. Even those 2 minute breaks are diificult to watch as the guy is terrible. But it’s like passing a car wreck-sometimes you can’t look away.
A more painless way to follow this guy is to read The Olbermann Report. Daily updates without actually having to listen to him.

and USA Today it is highly possible they left something like that out. I personally don’t remember that, but nothing about Olbermann surprises me much, especially when it comes to outrageous behavior.

Perhaps Olbermann is trying to single-handedly put the conservatives back in control of Congress with his mindless rants so his 2010 ratings will rise from dismal to depressing? After all, he has no problems stabbing his liberal colleagues in the back. The feeling is mutual as his colleagues don’t think much of him, either and did not invite him to be a groupie on their unbiased, just reporting the news, secret Journo-Listserv.

by Ben Afflek of Olbermann was one of my favorite SNL skits in a long time.

That being said, what can Keith do now that the Democrats hold all the power? Is he just going to complain that we’re not all behind Obama? That makes really lame television. When he was “fighting the power” or whatever, he at least had something mildly entertaining because of his ridiculous tirades. What is he going to do now? Tirade that the opposition is acting in opposition? OH NOES.

That’s actually the main problem with The Daily Show now. They have no idea what the hell they’re doing. Attacking republicans at this point is like making fun of a clown. Are you going to make fun of him for his big shoes? His tiny car? His red nose? It’s just going through the motions of something they had when they were fighting the establishment that isn’t really relevant. When they attack democrats (which they have been doing a bit more of,) it becomes a lot funnier because he’s attacking the ones in power who, in my opinion, are on the highest of horses. Who doesn’t like to see the jester take a shot at the King?

Nah, Keith has a show that only works if he can go full attack against the establishment. That’s how he got his audience to go up in the first place. Since he’s never going to attack the Obama administration (he actually did a special comment to Obama about something and it was a totally defanged version,) what does the man have left.

Leave him the lies. How he loves them.

When **BEN AFFLECK** can do a parody of you on Saturday Night Live and successfully pull it off and make it more informative and entertaining than the target himself, you have a pretty accurate gauge of just how seriously people take Keith Olbermann. Even people who **aren't as talented as Ben Affleck** can do a good Keith Olbermann; if that doesn't tell you something, I don't know what will.
