Open Thread: Fred

Here’s a hilarious segment from today’s Fred Thompson Show:

Jeri: Posters of Obama depicted as the Joker have been popping up all over L.A. Is Obama actually like the Joker?
Fred: No. The Joker had crazy people and bombers as henchmen. Obama has them … more as mentors.

Bwa ha ha ha ha! (h/t IMAO)

Inner Children of The 80s and The Cold War

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra is getting good reviews across the board.

You know, I saw that....

When I went to see what they had to say about “Public Enemies”. It surprised the heck out of me. As a child of the 80′s, my first love was Transformers, and GI Joe was a close second. While I’d dismissed any interest in seeing GI Joe earlier, must admit, my interest is piqued.

Has to be way better than Transformers 2. Sigh.

D@mn I love Fred!

Government cannot be the solution when government is the problem.

Why thanks!

Oh, you meant Fred Thompson. Yeah, he’s pretty cool.

Seriously, Fred’s been a fantastic voice for conservatism for years. Too bad his campaign stalled out of the gate.

He’s still on my car’s rear window and tough to say when I’ll remove him.

Government cannot be the solution when government is the problem.

I agree

I don’t think he really felt he could win, and so he didn’t put the effort behind it that he could have done.

That, or his campaign manager was an idiot.

Or possibly both.

Ah, well.

Sadly, it wasn't meant to be.

Just got back from the RS gathering, just a couple of notes before I go to bed.

gekster (Diary) Tuesday, August 4th at 10:42PM EST (link)

I have to say it was great, and I am looking forward to next years gathering.
And I am still giddy over getting my picture taken with Liz Cheney
and “The Eric!”
That alone made the trip worth it.
It took a long time to get back to The Peoples Republic of Michigan because I stopped in Portland, Tennessee, to see my Niece Angelica on the way back.
I left at 10 oclock from her house this morning and got cought in the floods in Kentucky. No problems, just delayed.
I had an interesting thought though while driving and listening to the Healthcare debate on the AM radio.
Iif we do get Obama health care, can I drop my liability off my car insurance and house insurance because everyone will have Obama care to take care of them? That would kinda offset some of the cost for Obama care.
A last note. I figured out my Parents are “Liberal Entitlement Democrats”.
You know, Government give me everything. Do everything for me.
They, unfortunately like Obama and voted for him.
I wonder if, they being 79 years old each, if they will go for the end your life counseling every five years. With thier normal insurance, they should both last till 100. With Obama care, maybe not.
Again, the RS Gathering was great, and hope to see my new friends next year.
It was also great putting faces to some of the online name from here.

They say Republicans are for the rich, Democrats are for the poor.
If they need more voters,
then they have to make more of who they are for.

We are there in the various Tea Party groups, leaderless, but not rudderless.
