When you speak with normal people in Cuba, like in this video, you discover they get some basic preventative treatments, but are concerned if they get sick. Access to real medicine and treatment is rationed and limited. That is the way with all national health care programs.

For some reason, the democrats want to destroy productivity and performance in health care.and the economy. They want systems that create a two tier environment with a major barrier between the very rich and everyone else.

The United Nations simply reports whatever the government in Cuba reports. The infant mortality rates are bogus also. If a doctor suspects something wrong with the fetus, the fetus is terminated immediately.

http://soitgoesinshreveport.blogspot.com/2009/07/going-galt-over-obamacare.html

"Of the almost 46 million Americans counted as uninsured by the U.S. Census Bureau, 14 million of them are eligible for existing government programs but have not signed up. Another 17 million of them are earning over $50,000 a year but do not buy insurance because they feel it is too expensive. Two-thirds are young people between 18 and 31 who consider themselves “invincible.” They would buy insurance if it were cheaper and available to cover catastrophes, which is why one has insurance. Because 64 percent of Americans get their insurance through their employer and insurance is not portable, many of the uninsured are just between jobs and hence counted as uninsured, even if they are only uninsured for a short period of time. There are only about 8 million uninsured that need some assistance."

BRILLIANT!!! ((queue up the 07:30 minute mark))

And here I thought military provided health had a bum rap for ineptitude, slowness and non-responsiveness. Then there's CANADA:

Nurse: Maybe it's like 2 or 3 years...
Patient: 2 to 3 years to get a doctor?
Nurse: Yes, but you're young, so you have the time. Normally you don't have problem at your age.
Patient: So where do I get a family doctor from?
Nurse: Now you can wait or you can go to a private clinic...
Patient's friend: (Wait) so you have to pay?!?
Nurse: Yes, it's like $900 for a (initial) check up...

Anyone who buys the W.H.O. statistics on healthcare is nuts. Does anyone really believe Cuban Healthcare rivals the USA? Russia has had Socialized Healthcare since time began and the life span of a Russian male is 59 yrs.

I'm amazed how many Americans really believe that a government run health care will actually be a better system.

This type of tactic, showing people how the government is forced to ration out health care, should be used more often in the debate over socialized medicine. Usually conservatives just talk about the fiscal costs of moving to Universal Health Care.

What really bothers me is liberals will never admit it's a lousy system, they'll always say it just needs more funding.

What is not talked about in this video, which is pretty good, is that the "liberal" element and those that seek to have a "fair" access health system also fight any private health care options.

There is news from Canada about restrictions being put on opening for fee medical care, because it is for fee and the creation of one class of consumer who can afford to pay for care creates a disadvantage for the poor and we can't have that now in Canada...EH?

In other words, if you decide that the $900 dollar blood test mentioned in the video is worth it to you, then the state does not want you to get it, because some poor person does not have that same opportunity.

<b>Class warfare writ large.</b>

This already (at the 7 minute mark) has shown us why Canada can afford to pay for their world-class great health care. The nurse at the Day #2 clinic tells us that we need to get a family doctor before we can get a blood test. Then we find that it takes 2 or 3 years until one becomes available.

What a cost-saving idea! Simply refuse to treat everybody for the first few years they come into the system! They pay their taxes but coverage doesn't kick in for a few years. But he's young and healthy and can wait. Lucky him. And if it's a real emergency, he can go to the emergency room for triage and treatment. So it seems to be like it is here--young people don't have routine medical insurance, but they get treatment at the ER. Except THEY pay for the 'insurance' there anyway, and we don't have to here.

Tell me again why their system is better.

I linked this video to my friends on Facebook. I noticed something: Where I would normally see a thumbnail image and the video description, there's <i>nothing</i>.

<img src="http://www.fredmaidment.com/images/bias.jpg" width="67%" border="0" align="left">

A random video I linked above is displayed to show you what I'm talking about.

Are YT and fb already familiar with this and blocking the description? Is there some bias on either fb or YT's part on this video? Or does Steven Crowder have some setting on his YT page that prevents this?

I'm not sayin'. I'm just sayin'.

(I hope the image links properly...)
