you hit the nail on the head right there Krieger. I think I can speak for almost everyone on the right when I say that we all just want to be left alone. We don't want the guv'mint or anyone for that matter interfearing in our pursuit of life, liberty and happiness. The people on the left, however, believe that individualism is a social disease and no one should be left alone. I would much rather be doing something other than battling insane rhetoric from the left but If I don't stay aware, then one of these days my right to do as I please will be gone entirely.

they are in the pipeline. Read the text of HR 645 (http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h111-645) filed by Obama backer Alcee Hastings (former Federal Judge impeached and removed from office).

Just ask yourself, why do we need an "emergency" camp in North Dakota. Sorry, this bill does not pass the smell test. Why do we need them on "existing" Military installations? Why is Janet Napolitano the one to select and design and implement this?

from the front page today.

I have never paid much heed to or read much of Kos and the rest, but the MSM reactions to the Tea Parties, the Miss California story, not to mention the DHS security memos on right wing activists really tells the tale of where they all take their cues.

The world is really a scary place when this stuff has become the truly mainstream drive of our culture and government. In fact, this garbage makes me more nervous about the future of the American way-of-life than Osama Bin Laden does.

They are really just throwing right in our face now. God help us all if the American people don't wake up to this stuff. Keep it up Red State!

You said Congresswoman Michele Bachmann had used words like "armed," "dangerous," and "revolution."

This was the headline Dylan and Ethan Ris over at AOL Political Machine
Michele Bachmann Calls For Violent Revolution

Is this is the actual quote you are referring to?

“I want people in Minnesota armed and dangerous on this issue of the energy tax because we need to fight back. Thomas Jefferson told us ‘having a revolution every now and then is a good thing,’ and the people – we the people – are going to have to fight back hard if we’re not going to lose our country. And I think this has the potential of changing the dynamic of freedom forever in the United States.”

She is not calling for an armed and dangerous revolution at all. The Congresswoman is clearly using the phrase "armed and dangerous" as in "armed with the facts" on the cap and trade legislation the Democrats want to pass as a part of their green agenda, but you wouldn't know that from the headline. If the public knows the real facts instead of spin about legislation proposed, then they can let their representatives in Congress know their re-election chances are in danger if they don't vote they way they want. The loss of freedom is economic freedom. Bachmann is Democrat public enemy #1, because she has the audacity to quote the Constitution from time to time in opposition to legislation being passed, and this somehow makes her a wack-job. She is what Chuck Schumer calls "The Chattering Class."

I don't know if Dylan and Ethan Ris are left leaning wingnuts, because I don't read much of their stuff. After reading the headline to that piece and their insinuations in the story has Bachmann calling for an armed revolution. They obviously have to put both their heads together to make a coherent thought. It must sound like a bowling alley when they do.

My first Griz was at Haines Junction, Yukon Territory out on the Alcan. We were driving the Alcan to Fairbanks and we were tired and sleepy so we pulled into a campground in Haines Junction. Your notions of a campground probably wouldn't include this place. I was going to set up the tent but I saw eyes in the bushes so, needing sleep, the truck had to do. About three in the morning the dog goes off and the truck is shaking; I have a passenger side window full of grizzly bear! You have no idea how hard it is to grab that rifle beside your seat in that circumstance! Grabbed the rifle but since getting out of Dodge was an option, it was the best option. We left the campground to the bear and drove on.

Since then, I've been fairly close to the Brown Bears on numerous ocassions, but never had one try to tear the door off my vehicle since. That said, I'd much rather get off my boat on one of the Southeast Alaska islands naked than get off without my 12 ga. I might live naked, but I wouldn't live unarmed.

but do agree that we need to be prudent in language, both as a moral matter, and politically so we can be the sane grown-ups in contrast with Obama's extreme rhetoric:

Be aware there are Black Bears in these woods,
and Grizzly Bears.

You will be given a Jumble of Bells and Pepper Spary
to ward off the Bears you may encounter.

Be advised that Black Bear feces has berries in it, and smells like vegitation, and when spotted, Black Bears are in the area.

Also be advised that Grizzly Bear feces has small Bells in it, and smells of Pepper Spray, and when spotted, Grizzly Bears are in the area.

Not sure what you mean by that statement. As I have stated numerous times, I'm a young, moderate Republican woman. I don't like extremes on either side. So I'm not what sure what you are talking about.

As for my "familiarity wth DKos," I don't know what you mean by that either. I've probably looked at that site twice in my life. Most of my knowledge of that blog comes from reading about it from posters here. I do watch Glen Beck fairly regularly and I particularly like him. But just because I don't like his style and what he has to say doesn't make me a lib.

It appears that you think a moderate Republican to you is a lib. I grew up in New Hampshire in a Republican family and am a registered Republican. But an northeast Republican, at least from what I saw growing up in Portsmouth, is different in some ways than Republicans in other parts of the country. I may be wrong about that. Just my personal experience. Most Republicans I know from my hometown are what most here would consider moderate. But my family and I would never be considered liberal by other Republicans we know in our home town. We may be less socially conservative perhaps.

1) I find it very instructive that liberals can turn on a dime and advocate for killed cops at the same time they advocate for cop killers. This continues to prove the point that the only time they care about loss of life is when they feel they can score a political point.

2) This surge by the left is simply an extension of the Kent State Paradigm. Agitation, violence against property and authority figures, and when someone is backed into a corner and makes a tragic mistake, stand on the bodies and hang the incident around the necks of conservatives like an anchor. Works like a charm to advance The Cause. If you're really lucky, maybe a Canadian transplant will write a song about it.

It is getting old, and I thank Caleb for calling them on it.

It's not like many of us here commenting on the Binghamton shooting didn't predict the wignuts spin.

It was a flip-of-the-coin choice between dead cops or dead immigrants, and it looks like Moulitas went with heads - dead cops.

to good use. I'm all for arming bears as long as they are on our side. Don't mind arming the deer either, just to make it even during hunting season!

(Kind of took the steam out of my righteousness, didn't it?)

a comfortable familiarity with DKos and an utter ignorance of what Glen Beck and Rep. Bachmann had to say. Every time you comment here, you sound like a lib regardless of your user name.

Just for the record, your side would use a revolution to stifle dissent, murder as many free-thinkers as possible, get rid of religion of any form, and oppress as many identity groups as you could manage.

My side? We fight for freedom. So if we have a revolution, everybody gets free speech, everybody has the right to worship as they please, everybody is equal under the law. And, oh yeah, everybody gets the right bear arms.
