I thought about it, just so I could get the inevitable phone call from the wide-eyed acolyte that would try to get me into the cult and the fun, fun conversation that would generate. But I decided not to waste my minutes or text messages…

I just stopped by to see what kind of insightful thinking I would find here. One curious thing I’ve discovered is when searching for an event near my house, (zip code 80228), I find 1 event – September 4th, it’s a convention watching party. Doing the same search on the Obama site returns 151 events. Is that just because I live in Colorado?

that the One has totally screwed up the VP selection so hopelessly that his campaign will ditch the whole texting thing and the VP will not appear till tomorrow’s event.

Either he offered it to several people who all accepted or he got turned down — something’s gone wrong and they have to get a warm body for the event tomorrow.

Nobody –NOBODY — is going to release a piece of information like this after 5 PM on a Friday. NOBODY. Txt msg or carrier pigeon. It’s insane, it’s screwing up everybody’s deadline and making the media look like fools.

My feeling, the One had always intended to go with somebody like Wesley Clark or Hagel — yes, or Lugar — and now has to call somebody back who he had already turned down — or some similar scenario. He picked someone and it turned into an Eagleton type debacle.

Either that or it is Hillary

…everything from debunking the McCain plagiarizing his cross story, to calling Obama out on trying to link Abramoff to the man who is probably most responsible for him being in prison, to Obama’s lies of omission on the McCain economy quotes.

Obama needs to learn that going negative works better if you’re not lying and just setting up even better attack ads on dishonesty against yourself.

but once again the One, by shunning traditional means of notification and choosing txt msg notification is showing his “exclusive colors”. To many people, esp older and blue collar, texting is not the primary means of communication. They get their information from traditional means.

It strikes me as kind of eliteist when you are only deemed worthy of first notification via your ability to use / own a digital texting device (pc or otherwise) Maybe the text able demographic is all he cares about….just sayin…

I just reserved my ticket. I was wondering if the RS Show-Me Staters wanted to meet up.

I have been totally impressed with the news media’s willingness to be lead around by the nose. I hope their friends are sending them fake test messages just to play with their small brains.

It is hard to think any less of todays news media than I already do but they keep setting the bar lower and lower.

How would you feel if Obama calls you, and tells you the good news is you are my first…uh second choi… uh well will you take the VP slot.

The bad news is that for the rest of your life you will be the one elected official that will be known for defending Obama’s statement of admiration of China.
