Now this is how it’s done.

General Election time boys and girls....thank goodness for 527's

I saw this commercial on MSNBC tonight as I was watching Chris Matthews. Watch then we will discuss further why it is so brilliant and effective.

I have included the text of the commercial below so we can parse it for all it’s greatness. I believe that this is such a great add for a few reasons.

* This was a targeted ad exposing Barack Obama as the unprincipled serpent politician that he is.

  • This was targeted to indepentent viewers who watch stuff like Chris Mathews.

  • But the best part is I saw it in Colorado. Colorado as we know could very well be an inportant state electorally this year, along with a few others.

These 3 things when put together are effective in my opinion. I would like to see what the polls here in CO look like come mid August.

People are saying that Senator Obama’s recent changes of position have made him a flip-flopper.

He’s not!

Flip-floppers only hold one position at a time.

Senator Obama is different: he holds two positions at the same time.

Wow talk about framing the debate. I love this. Flip-flopper has become cliche’ in the MSM and so they don’t cover it. This blows that strawman out of the water right off the bat, “he’s not a flip-flopper, yeah we got that, he’s a snake!!”.

Ok, let’s see whats next…shall we?

Both ways on banning handguns.
Both ways on public campaign financing.
And now, both ways on withdrawing from Iraq.

Here they define three specific issues that are key to all voters and politicos no matter which side you are on.

>
He wants to have them all, both ways.
He’s “Both Ways Barack.”
Worse than a flip-flopper.
LET FREEDOM RING is responsible for the content of this advertising.
>

Then they tie it all in to a nice slogan that is easily repeatable….sweet.

So that’s all I got tell me what you think.

Great ad... on in Missouri, too...

Visiting Missouri (St. Louis) and just saw the ad on the Fox News channel – likely a more receptive audience, true.

It is an effective ad though – simple, to the point, and catchy.

More please.

He's a real nowhere man

He’s the epitome of the Democrat party today, a giant collection of contradictory talking points. Except for one, which is the ace in the hole: the secular-religious motif. That carries all the rest along, and so far it has the media hypnotized.

The thing is that it’s not Obama’s messianic qualities that have anything to do with his success: people’s infatuation with him is just like something else they knew when they were 12 years old: Peer. Pressure.

Not just on TV here
